About Me
A short history of the author of The Computer Scientist's Compendium of Ideas.

Akhmad Rezki Purnajaya
I hold a Master’s in Computer Science and was a Software Engineering Lecturer for six years. I am now an independent researcher and solopreneur.
I saw firsthand how many people struggle to learn complex subjects, even when they are highly motivated. This sparked my current mission: to build a platform that finds and simplifies the most current knowledge in Computer Science (CS) and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The goal is to cut through the noise and give you only the most important, up-to-date information. This will help you learn faster, understand more, and build the right skills to advance your career in tech.
I am also passionate about philosophy and psychology. My goal is to create educational experiences that are more effective and engaging by designing them to work with the human nature, not against it, making learning new skills easier and more accessible for everyone.
Here’s how I plan to do this:
- Build a strong foundation with courses that teach you a variety of topics in Computer Science and AI.
- Get clear, practical guidance on complex topics, offering downloadable ebooks on strategies in computer science, AI, and more that you can use immediately.
- Join interactive virtual events and workshops designed to give you direct access to expert insights and personalized feedback.
- Focus on your future by building a portfolio of practical skills that prepare you for great career paths.
My Experience
I began as an AI and Data Science researcher, then spent six years in academia as a Lecturer and Head of Software Engineering.
Today, as an EdTech solopreneur, I also serve as an independent researcher. This new role is key to my mission: I constantly study the latest technology and real-world industry needs to ensure my courses and tools are always relevant. I use these insights to make learning complex tech skills simple and effective for today’s job market.
2025-Now
After a 6-year academic career, I transitioned to build my own education-focused business. I now apply my expertise in computer science and AI to create online courses, a content platform, and new digital tools designed to make learning complex tech skills more effective and accessible.
2021-2025
Head of Department Software Engineering
Promoted to a leadership position, where I was responsible for managing the academic curriculum and guiding the strategic direction of the Software Engineering program.
2019-2025
Started a six-year role as a full-time university lecturer, where I taught Software Engineering and specialized in mentoring students on using AI and data to solve real problems.
2016-Now
Began my professional journey as a researcher while completing my Master’s in Computer Science, focusing on practical applications of AI, Machine Learning, and Data Science.
A Short History of The Computer Scientiest’s Compendium of Ideas
Welcome to The Computer Scientist’s Compendium of Ideas, your new platform for accelerating your career in technology. Founded by Akhmad Rezki Purnajaya, a former Software Engineering lecturer turned independent researcher, this site is built on a single mission: to make mastering complex Computer Science and AI concepts simple and effective.
We go beyond dry theory by blending deep technical expertise with proven principles from psychology. Here, you will find curated online courses, practical ebooks, and insightful articles designed to extract and distill the most relevant, up-to-date knowledge, giving you the real-world skills you need to solve problems and advance in your field.
Background of The Site:
1. The Professional Development Part
This platform is built for the real world. I’ve spent my career at the crossroads of technology and industry, and I’ve seen a huge gap: companies need people who can solve complex, new problems, but most learning resources are still stuck on pure theory. As an independent researcher, my job is to stay on top of the latest trends in AI and Software Engineering. I then “translate” that complex knowledge into practical, simple, and effective guides and courses. This part of the site is focused on your career. It’s designed to give you the specific, up-to-date skills that companies are actually hiring for, helping you build a strong portfolio and advance in your field.
2. The Academic Part
You deserve to learn from a source you can trust. My approach isn’t just based on industry trends; it’s built on a solid academic foundation. I hold a Master’s in Computer Science and spent six years as a university lecturer, where I also served as the Head of the Software Engineering Department. During that time, I didn’t just teach—I learned how people learn. I saw what worked and what didn’t. This platform is my solution. It combines my academic expertise with my passion for cognitive psychology, using proven methods to make learning “stick.” This part is about credibility, quality, and a learning process you can rely on.
3. The Business Part
This platform is the engine for my mission as an “EdTech Solopreneur.” After my academic career, I transitioned to build a business that could be more agile and make a wider impact than I could as a single lecturer. This isn’t just a personal blog; it’s a sustainable venture designed to grow. The business model is transparent: I create and sell high-value digital products, like premium online courses and strategic ebooks. The revenue from these products directly funds the independent research needed to keep this platform’s content on the cutting edge. When you invest in a product here, you aren’t just buying a guide; you are supporting a continuous mission to find and build better ways to learn.
